OCTOBER - 2011

PROGRESS

Started the old spray gun up and completed the front seats, grill and lights. As can be seen, the webbing has been clipped along the top of the grill. A little bit tricky getting the rivets in place but ok. The lights have now been fitted and I have started to fit the wiring to them, more on that next month.
In a effort to free up the rebuilt engine (very hard to hand crank, probably due to not being used for over 10 months since rebuild) I took the plugs out and had George towing me up the drive a few times, assisted by Diane on traffic watch. As you can see, I have connected an oil pressure gauge and it registered pressure. After that, it was a lot easier to crank the engine. I think when I get around to starting the engine, it may have to be towed again to loosen up.
